By Charlie Jackson

If you are planning on going to Leeds for a day or night then there is a lot of fun things to do all year round. Here's a list of some famous activities for the family, group, couple otherwise individual.

1. Royal Armouries - The Royal Armouries is a state of the art museum on the bank of the river Aire that consists of much of the treasure, weaponry and relics from the glory days of the British empire. Everything in the museum arrived from the Tower Of London originally after it was cleaned out. As a consequence Leeds now has numerous national treasures on exhibit to the public.

2. Victoria Arcade - In fact Leeds has a lot of arcades coming from the major shopping street Briggate, however it's Victoria Arcade which is the grandest and most celebrated! Formerly a small knot of streets, it is now roofed and contains the pick of Leeds' upmarket shops and stores including Harvey Nichols.

3. The Dry Dock - A distinctive bar which the students simply love to expend the whole day and night in! The Dry Dock is a boat which has been moored and placed outside the entrance to Leeds Metropolitan University. So you could have a drink in a boat! Very unique!

4. Roundhay Park - The well-known Roundhay Park is enormous and consists of lakes, cycle tracks, concert venue and Tropical World! This enormous park is approximately 3 miles beyond the hustle and bustle of the city centre and well worth a look if you are after something more stress-free.

5. Headingley - Headingley is probably the most tightly populated student area in the country, housing a large amount of students from Leeds' 2 universities. Headingley is well-known for its night life containing bars such as The Arc, The Sky Rack, Trio and The Headingley Taps.
