Great Little Motion Sensor Light - Walkway Lights Review

By Brooklyn Diaz

Two out of two bad, I will try another brand name. Turns out this is a fantastic light. I will just have to see how long the batteries last. Motion sensor is effective (much better than I was expecting), the one LED throws mad light, simple to set up, just about everything I hoped for. It puts out enough light. But soon after I leave, it turns off.

Go slowly and all will be good. I returned one in May 2011 when it stopped working. Simple set up and fantastic item.

We have had rainy and windy weather the previous few weeks, and the light worked good.

We have a covered porch and I was able to mount the Dorcy floodlight so that it is invisible from the road. Light was extremely bright and had an excellent sensor however, after four days the light stopped working so I am stuck with another worthless light. Even with the lights in my room and the only light in the room being the part of sunlight coming through the curtains, it's not going to activate (I have it in the closet above the door, so it's not facing any direct light). I'm able to now see my canines when they go on the west side of our home. Following four Chicago rainstorms, the light continues to be working completely.

Motion sensor has great sensitivity. It is nowhere near as bright as a high power AC floodlight. The bollard lighting unit instantly comes on when it senses motion and goes off about thirty seconds later if there is no more motion. So if you are expecting this to produce the light output of a flood light it isn't.

Amazon, I believe you owe an apology and at least a partial refund to everybody expecting a light with these specs.

Setting is perfect for 30 seconds.

This is a fantastic little bollard lighting.

I got this for my door a month ago, which did not have any wiring or lights. Super easy to setup I had bought solar lights previously to illuminate some dark areas in my backyard, however, the Pacific Northwest cloudy climate appears to dampen their ability to be effective throughout the year. The removable bollard lights have been through a number of hard rain storms and wind. The security bollard light is easy to set up, and worked just like you could anticipate with only three batteries. They're simple to set up, you don't need to hire an electrian, and only need batteries to use. I place them high enough, although not so high that I cannot change the batteries (which you'll need three D batteries) with a ladder. Nonetheless extremely happy.
