Looking for Low-cost Flight to New York or Los Angeles? Book Now!

C'mon, you know you've always desired to visit Los Angeles and New York. With the Aussie dollar as strong as it is ever been, now is the time to book for the attractive periods from April to June or September onwards. From Rodeo Drive to Fifth Avenue, retail therapy beckons.What? You've already grabbed that low-cost flight to New York or cheap flight to Los Angeles? Here are a few tips for things to do.With a quasi-official nickname such as "The Entertainment Capital of the World," who doesn't want to go to Los Angeles?

To experience the dream factory first hand, go to where the movies are made. Warner Brothers and Paramount both offer proper tours, and since they're both working studios the odds are good that you will glimpse a star - or at the very least an active film set.Two other studios offer theme park experiences that incorporate studio tours. The Universal Studios park includes a tram tour of the back lot on which both PSYCHO and JAWS were filmed, and the tour itself even features an earthquake.The park that started it all is of course Disneyland in Anaheim, which has expanded greatly over the years but nonetheless has the core attractions and rides everyone recalls from their childhood.

Anaheim is also within shouting distance of the well-known Catalina Island, Laguna Beach and all those real housewives running around Orange County.Television is a massive part of the Hollywood scene, so make sure and do the research to grab free tickets to tapings of your favourite shows. It pays to do this footwork in advance, though some firms have walk-up ticket booths on website.Show business is not the only game in town, however. Griffith Park and also the art deco observatory within are amongst the most well-known tourist destinations, whilst a short drive up the Pacific Coast Highway will bring the curious to the spectacular J. Paul Getty Museum and the priceless art within.

At opposite ends of the cultural spectrum are Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum and the spectacular new Walt Disney Concert Hall. And don't forget about the iconic Hollywood sign...On the other hand of the continent, New York awaits. The availability of low-cost flights to New York means longer stays, which often means more of what makes the city so fantastic.Begin with the icons by strolling around Rockefeller Centre, Central Park or the Museum of Modern Art. Expand the range by visiting the Ground Zero Museum Workshop, where images and artifacts from the recovery testify to the strength and can-do spirit of those who call New York City home.

Whilst downtown, go to the Statue of Liberty-reservations are required to get into the museum - or take the Staten Island Ferry for a stunning view of the city.Back in Manhattan, make sure and book tickets for a Broadway show. Schedules change, however current hot tickets consist of "Mary Poppins," "The Lion King," "Wicked," "Jersey Boys," "American Idiot" and, of course, "Priscilla Queen of the Desert."If visiting in September, try for tickets to the New York Film Festival. Or, if time allows, book a car and drive north to experience the astonishing explosion of color as the leaves change in the northern autumn.
