NASCAR Las Vegas Travel Packages Satisfy The Need For Speed

By Claudine Hodges

Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a premier racing facility that plays host to NASCAR stock car racing during March and September every year. Since it first opened in 1988, millions of fans have poured through its gates to satisfy their need for speed. Many companies make it easy for fans to get the most out of their entertainment budget by offering affordable NASCAR Las Vegas travel packages.

The excitement of NASCAR racing taking place in one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world is a combination that many people find difficult to pass up. Guests can travel to Vegas in March when the Speedway hosts NASCAR's two top national touring divisions. The other option is to visit in September when the Truck Series drivers take their turn to compete.

The March races draw capacity crowds who are eager to see Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Jimmie Johnson and the sport's other biggest stars. The Truck Series drivers are less well known but no less talented. Fans traveling to Vegas for the September event will find a little more room to spread out and a smaller crowd to deal with at the track.

Race fans arriving from out of state will want to select a package that includes a round trip flight to McCarran International Airport. The airport's location offers easy access to major freeways and is just a few minutes from the world famous Strip. Limousines, taxicabs, buses and other public transportation options are located just steps away from the baggage claim area of the terminal. All car rental companies do business out of a facility adjacent to the airport and provide free transportation for customers.

Because it is a major vacation destination year round, Las Vegas offers accommodations to suit any lifestyle or budget. Off-strip hotels rent comfortable living quarters by the night, week, or month. The major resorts offer upscale rooms and suites with all the amenities found in any luxury hotel.

Race activities during March take place over a three-day period. Fans have the option of attending the track on any of those days or on all three days. For the best seating options, fans should choose a package that offers reserved seating along the front stretch. Those who want the VIP experience can find tickets that include access to one of the speedway's luxury suites.

The speedway in Vegas features a special Neon Garage area. Fans with access to the infield can watch through large windows as the crews work on the race cars. Other activities in this area of the track include live entertainment by local bands, autograph sessions with select drivers, and interactive vendor displays.

Individuals coming to Las Vegas for race weekend have the opportunity to enjoy many different types of entertainment when they are not at the race track. Travel operators can schedule other activities according to the client's wishes. Options include tickets for one of the major production shows at a Strip resort, VIP passes into one of the city's world famous nightclubs, and access to other activities and attractions.
