Silver Dollar City Hotels For An Ozark Theme Park Stay

By Elaine Guthrie

One of the prime attractions for visitors exploring the Ozarks is the Silver Dollar City theme park in Branson, MO. It's a retro Ozark-themed park that blends in nicely into the slow-paced family friendly draw of the area. From March through December when the park is open, it's hard to find Silver Dollar City hotels that are not sold out.

It's best to plan for the stay, but the choice of a hotel requires careful consideration of many factors. Price is obviously a key issue, as are the location, amenities and the size of the group or family that needs to stay in a room or suite. Considering that most people who come here are tourists or travelers, it might also be a good idea to factor in plans for the stay.

A family driving through Branson on US-65 might prefer something that is on the way and near the park. But others who fly in and want to stay over for the weekend or longer might want to stay at a place that is in the city. This way, they have a central location from which to explore the whole region.

For instance, many people who come for the theme park also end up enjoying Ride the Ducks, White Water and other water park attractions that are nearby. Another similarly enjoyable tourist experience is the show and cruise onboard the Showboat Branson Belle. It's not hard to map these attractions and then find a hotel nearby.

Another way to understand the lay of the land is to look at lodging on either side of the park, which is on MO Route 76 in the middle of Branson and West Branson. In other words, all the top hotels, inns and motels are in two groups on either side of this park. Just pick one, and make sure it is within a few minutes of all the area attractions.

Apart from the location, families on a budget may also be looking for an affordable place to stay. A chain hotel is likely to be a safe choice, offering decent lodging at a low nightly rate, along with all the amenities that a family with children will need. This means everything from free parking to an outdoor heated pool or hot tub, laundry and room service.

Expect in-room amenities like cable, refrigerator, microwave and high-speed Internet or Wi-Fi. Most establishments also provide a complimentary breakfast and free tea or coffee for guests. Some will also offer shuttles for visitors heading to the theme park.

Another option worth considering is a holiday package. It helps travelers save on the costs, but it does need a certain amount of advance planning a long time before the actual trip. If that's possible, the package will include theme park tickets and a stay at any hotel of their choice in the area. No matter which hotels in Silver Dollar City visitors pick, it's a good bet that the vacation will be a whole lot of fun and highly memorable.
