Choices For All Inclusive Family Resort Jamaica Location

By Evelyn Walls

Visiting the Caribbean for a family vacation is definitely a perfect way to create some life long memories. Relaxing and having fun in a slice of paradise with activities and treats for everyone will ensure that everyone gets the most out of the experience. Here is a list of the various kinds of all inclusive family resort Jamaica has to offer.

Beaches is the counterpart for families of the Sandals group, which is known around the world for its services. Jamaica has two Beaches resorts, namely Boscobel and Negril. The latter is located on the western coast of Jamaica, while Boscobel is on the northern coast, a 2 hour drive away from Montego Bay, just past Ocho Rios.

At the Boscobel location, there are kids' programs for a range of different ages. Infant care is also available on site, which can be of huge help for those parents who need some down time for themselves or to spend quality time with some of the older children. Gaming centers for the older kids and a Sesame Street partnership for the young ones guarantees endless entertainment and lots of fun. Furthermore, snorkeling, scuba diving, novelty pools and golf for both adults and children make the trip worthwhile.

Negril, like Boscobel, has a partnership with Sesame Street and its characters. At Negril, you can take full advantage of the thousand feet of shore on the seven-mile long beach. Snorkeling and scuba diving are also available here, but with the additional benefit of snorkeling boat trips at a coral reef. At Negril, water slides and river pools provide hours of entertainment for all.

Franklin D is a resort that stands out from others in that it is geared especially towards families. Found on the north coast, this resort is extra special for the added feature of a vacation nanny for every family that checks in. This nanny works from nine in the morning until four in the afternoon, but can be available into the evening for a small hourly fee. She will chaperon the kids to any activities so that parents can also get a little break.

Franklin D features large suites for guests - 76 of them in total - with boardwalk dining and lots to do for the entire family. Magic shows, dancers and fire eaters are just some of the attractions when staying here. Tennis, bike rides, glass bottom boat rides, windsurfing, power walks for the adults and kayaking are but a handful of the many activities on offer.

The Half Moon Resort is the ultimate luxury accommodation for families. It is only 10 minutes drive away from the airport in Montego Bay. Kids under the age of 12 stay for free once they are sharing a room with adults, and they also get a 50% discount on all meals.

Half Moon has a number of different options for every budget. Superior rooms and even private villas are available, with up to 7 bedrooms in a private villa. The all-inclusive Platinum Plan for a private villa comes with its own pool, a butler service and a cook. Guests also receive a golf cart of their own to move around the 400 acres of Half Moon with. Half Moon boasts 3 free-form pools for everyone to share, an Olympic-sized pool, a putting green and championship golf course and tennis courts.
