Some Rules To Remember When Going To A Fine Dining Dahlonega GA Restaurant

While a lot of people are quite intimidated if they eat in an upscale restaurant because of all the rules and etiquette, it will be easy if one learns these. Although it might be hard at first, one will eventually get used to wining and dining in a gourmet place. If one wants to be able to fit in while in a fine dining dahlonega GA restaurant, here are some tips.

Now, the important thing to remember in a gourmet setting is when to use which utensil and which utensil to use for what dish. The general rule to utensil usage is always start from the utensils on the outer region of the plate going to inner. So the first utensils to be used are the bread plate and bread knife found on the upper left corner of the plate because the first dish served is usually bread.

After that, the following dish that is usually served is soup wherein the soup spoon is used. The soup spoon is located at the outer right side of his plate and usually has a big and round head which can pick up the soup easily. Also, the soup is usually served on another plate and the plate is placed in front of the guest.

When the soup is finished, the next dish that will be served is salad which is placed on the salad plate. The salad fork, which is used for eating the dish can be found in the left side of his plate and is the first fork that can be seen in the outer part of that side. To give an idea of where to find it, it is the smaller fork there on the left.

After the salad, the main dish is then usually served. The main dish is usually a meat dish which can be either a seafood, a lamb dish, a beef steak, or probably a chicken. The fork and knife is usually used for the main dish but a sharper and bigger knife might be given by the waiter if the meat is too tough to cut with a normal knife.

The last dish that will be served is the dessert which is usually a cake or some other sweet treat. The dessert spoon and the dessert fork, which can be found at the top of the plate, is used. After dessert, then the meal is done and one can have some drinks.

The next thing that one has to take note of are the glasses for various drinks. There are three glasses on the table found on the upper right corner of the plate. The topmost glass is the water glass, the next is a red wine glass, and the next is a white wine glass.

Before one even enters a gourmet restaurant, these are some of the basic rules that he has to observe. There are a lot of other rules of etiquette that one will have to learn but he can just learn them as he goes along. However, these basic rules for utensil use have to be remembered in order to fit in.
