To date my bollard lighting units have been outside in winter weather with a number of snowfalls, and are working nicely.
It's a shock to discover how effortlessly your space, your life, could be invaded. The 30-second works well for me, because as long as something is moving about within range of the sensor, it stays on.
I purchsed the product to install on my small patio to light up my yard.
The security bollard light is easy to set up, and worked just like you could anticipate with only three batteries. I'd have liked an on/off switch. I screwed it right into a wooden soffit area facing my front walk. I mounted the walkway lights to a sizable fruit tree close to the front steps, down near the road.
For me, this gives more than adequate light in a circle that is maybe fifteen feet wide when hanging from the eave over the garage door. Range isn't as far as I would like on this bollard lighting, and in all likelihood not as far as it states, however it works for me. I needed the floodlights to illuminate a dark, treacherous area on the lower part of the front steps which go down a steep hill to the road in front of my home. I just ordered another sidewalk lighting unit for my yard. However, it's too sensitive, and therein lies the reason why I only give this product three stars.
I purchased two of these models to eliminate the need to carry a flashlight to find keyholes anytime I returned home at night, and to light the way between automobile and doorway. I'd not totally tightened the 2 halves of the unit so the impact of hitting the driveway cracked the housing, broke a little piece off totally and scattered the 2 sections apart. Turns out this is a fantastic light. We'd buy these removable bollard lights again! Light works well, not tremendous vibrant (It is simply one LED bulb but meets expectations). Great item! If you browse the directions cautiously and make sure you have the light on the right configurations it does what it says it would. Powerful light, very useful in dark corners of the home or even garage, much more helpful if you want to deter burglars. Amazon, you need to rewrite description and lower the cost. The twisting hinge that attaches the light to the foundation was missing.
Additional, they've been great for alerting us if anybody or anything enters our yard. The movement sensors aren't too sensitive that you will get false sensing. The product is nice. Recently I had a power outage at my house. During the night even when there isn't any activity it stays on for ninety five percent of the time.
We have a covered porch and I was able to mount the Dorcy floodlight so that it is invisible from the road.

The walkway lights are not super bright but it's vibrant enough to illuminate a sizable area. I intend to purchase more walkway lights.
