Surprisingly Bright And Durable - Patio String Lights Review

By Amelia Parker

One reviewer stated the light did not go on in the beginning, and after they gave it a little whack, it then worked. I do not even think about the porch light any longer.

I live where there are no road lights, nor movement lights on the corners or sides of the house. Working nicely with twin brightness, dusk-to-dawn and flexibility detection features. I used the template included in the box to locate the two screws, set up three rechargeable D batteries, set the light switches to bright and also to stay on two minutes and waited until dark. I had been satisfied with it at first however it required new batteries after just a couple of months. The light includes a sensor that it is supposed to turn on when it will get dark. These GE LED light bulbs are every thing we expected.

The light is simple to set up and is effective.

This is actually the second light of four that have no time and brightness changes. I would not change my previous evaluation on this outdoor track lighting.

The light stays on for thirty seconds unless of course it continues to detect motion. Easy set up, I used three Duracell D12 Procell in each.

That is certainly handy for the location without access to AC plug. It had been difficult installing it due to the fact of the junction box which did not have lots of space to store the wires (the old lamp was bigger so the wires went in the base instead of the junction box). The bulb housing is all about 8.5" tall and the diameter of the mount is 4.5".

The sensor is placed to activate when something passes inside ten feet (maybe fifteen feet). It brightens as someone walks up, and dims to a lower light if you would like. Among the first things I did the next day was to get on the web to locate a movement sensor security light.

So, if you mount it close to some other source of light, it might be too bright to allow the patio string lights to turn on. Frequently it's very difficult to purchase lights from a web site since you can actually only get somewhat of an idea of the way it looks in the photograph provided.

After the light was not working, I realized that it's the light that's faulty. This is a nice-looking light, with a decent motion sensor, at a bargain price. The only real light I could find that did not require hardwire set up by an electrician was the Cooper MS100PG. So, the light makes me really feel more secure.

I had been really glad to finally find one which would "plug in" since I am not an electrician and it is certainly bright enough. It throws off a large, bright swath of bluish-white light, and those steps and the road here are now much, much brighter and safer. This is exactly why I give the 3 way light bulbs four stars. We installed it on our wood fence, out in the open.
