The most important thing the managers apply in the organization to get things done is coordination. This is the organizing of efforts so that things run simultaneously. The different employees or department within the business unit need to work together at the same pace so that they will produce the same and required levels of production towards the making of a common good.

Managers should be responsible in ensuring that everything is coordinated. Here the efforts of the employees are supposed to be going at the same pace, collectively so that nobody can be left behind. Things may be a bit complicated at the workplace hence it needs a strong and experienced manager with all the necessary managerial skills so that he can make things go smoothly.

To enhance coordination managers need to possess some attributes that can be their skills. These are the ones to enable them effectively and face technicalities. Generally, they should be hardworking, goal oriented and innovative. Otherwise they will not deliver in the hostile business environment whereby a small mistake will see a company or an organization go underground.

Planning is equally important. The employees cannot work without knowing the targets they need to achieve. The manager should lay down all the goals and objectives of the business as well as the procedures of reaching all those goals. It is inappropriate to work towards coordinated functions without procedures and goals. Planning therefore is very essential.

Controlling in business involves monitoring the activities done by individuals in different departments to identify any errors or sources likely to bring errors and then necessary measures taken. The manager can do it themselves by visiting every job unit or department so that in the end they take corrective measures. Slower employees or departments are identified and an appropriate action taken. The managers can also use this function top identify those departments that are making a lot of waste after use of resources so that they take measures to avoid it. This in return will ensure every unit and department coordinate.

Managers will need to know how to handle technical issues with their technical skills. This is because junior staff members can get to a point they do not understand or do not know how to go about certain matters. This means they will need to have someone they will look up to in such situations. And since the manager cannot afford to let down the juniors hence they need to be imparted with all these skills.

Directing is also important in the business environment towards achieving coordinated work.
