The Need To Make The Right Choice Of Best Walking Shoes

By Adam Torres

As we all know walking is one of the best exercises. A simple daily walk can keep you healthy for quite a long period of time. There are several people who walk on a regular basis as an exercise and travel quite a distance which keeps them healthy and fit.

Trying out different options at different store can be a good option of choosing the best walking stores to see which ones provide you the best comfort. Always keep in mind that the pair that makes you feel natural is the best one for you.

As we all know that our feet have an automatic shock absorbing system known as pronation. This is noted in the arch of the feet as we step. Most normal people have neutral pronation system which works perfectly fine when they walk. But as a matter of fact, in some people, pronation works differently. In some people the collapse and extension of the arc is either too big or too small.

However, if you can keep in mind the pronation of your feet while purchasing your walking shoes it would be easier on your feet to be more comfortable while walking. It can be tested through wet test, by stepping on dry ground while your feet is wet you can observe that in some people there is a flat footprint which is known as under pronation, while in normal case there is a slight arc in between the toe and the back of the footprint, one the other hand people having over pronation have a very deep arc in their footprint.

Some basic factors to look out for are that walking shoes must be breathable so that to allow enough air flow to your feet to make your feel comfortable. If your shoes are not breathable enough they may not provide the best comfort for a long walk.

Now the thing to note that our feet adjust automatically according to our needs, as for example the difference between walking, running and jogging. Now when you walk your feet have a firm grip on the ground which reduces with our increase in speed while jogging or running respectively. That is the reason why we need to choose different types of shoes for different purposes. Shoes meant for running is not a suitable option for walking.

Besides these there are also some other factors while making the choice of walking shoes which are applicable for anyone. The first and foremost thing that should always be kept in mind while making the choice is the comfort of the shoe.

When we grow old our natural bodily functions start to deteriorate and sometimes it needs proper assistance in order to maintain normal functioning. Making the right choice of walking shoes is one such assistance which enables better comfort as well as a supporting factor for our weary feet.
