Various Designs Of Pool Canopy

By John Cook

Swimming is not only a sport but a recreational activity that enable s one to be physically fit. People especially adore it as a recreational activity. People mostly swim when the sun is hot but go to sunbathe by the side of the pond. Sometimes, you may want to be in the poo but under a shade at the same time. Below are some of the available pool canopy.

Shade sails are some of the most common canopies. They are known to give the loch a classy modern look. They also can be placed at any angle you desire. They come in different colours giving you a chance to choose. However, one cannot be able to cover a whole loch lest the shade covering the pool in shifts. They are resistant to strong winds making them a tad expensive.

Pergolas. The word may sound new to people and most likely sound like a petrol station. However, they are just another one of the canopy options. They cover only one end of the pond and are usually made of high-quality wood that cannot be affected by water. These are meant to provide a kind of beauty that is reflected only up to where the shade starts.

We all like to have the option of the various things we do. Luckily, there are retractable shade canopies available. These just so happen to cover the whole pond. However, the sides of the pond are not exactly. It is always up to the owner to decided when to open or close it. They also get to decide how wide they want the canopy to open.

The other option is one that has been around for years. These are umbrellas. They may actually add a stylish look to your loch depending on the kind you pick up. They are a way to provide shade for people both in and out of the loch. They are also very adjustable. You can move them towards the direction of the sun as you wish.

Cantilevers are a semi-permanent option. These do not cover the whole loch. They can also be moved to different positions or be retracted at any point. To install one, you have to be okay with the fact that one part of the pool may actually never heat up. It is basically two vertical poles on the cemented sides of the loch holding a canopy in place.

There are retractable enclosures. They do enclose the loch, but they still do let in the light that is needed which can still be controlled. For the warmth of the sun, the roof part has to be retracted. However, not the whole structure is retracted.

A poolside free-standing structure is not really a loch canopy. As the name suggests its placed on the side of the pond. It is a kind of pergola; only it does not cover any part of the pond. You can, however, put some patio furniture so that you can spend time with your friends and family. You can enjoy the sun while in the pond and then relax at the side of it.
