It not only fosters bonding between parents and children but also helps, especially the younger ones, acquire survival skills as well as attitude. To ensure comfortable camping, certain considerations would have to made days before the commencement of the activity.

So as not to forget anything during the camp, it would be better if campers can make a list of all the stuffs they need to bring. Making estimates on how much food would be needed for the entire duration as well as expecting surprises would warrant bringing many extra tools. Putting them down to writing helps one to be organized and more efficient.

Look for the equipment in one's list days before the planned date. Getting a tent, for those who don't have them yet, and other camper's basics might mean going to the nearest sporting goods shop to make a purchase. Getting recommendations from other experienced campers would also make a good shortcut.

For those with their own tents at home, they might as well try it out first before packing it up. It is important to see if the material is complete with all its stakes and pegs to ensure it would work properly in the campsite. Make sure to know how the assembling process is done; regrets are certainly something to avoid for.

Bringing along floor pads as well as sleeping bags might also be useful. Better prepared than not, in case rain occurs, the floors should not be easily damped. The pads would protect the base of the tent from being wet from the rain. Sleeping bags are always good for they make good emergency shelters if tents go down for some reasons.

Packing other materials and equipment such as duct tapes, ropes, propane stoves, matches, lighters and hatchets would be another consideration. These items surely would be handy in any camp adventure as they are useful in carrying out many activities in the wilderness.

Campers have to prepare all the edibles they need for the entire period. It is much better to pack more than less; otherwise, campers could go hungry for the remaining days in camp. For storage, coolers and water jugs would be necessary; and the preparation would also require kitchen utensils and other cooking instruments.

Nevertheless, it is still important to get advice on how to deal with life in the wilderness before setting out. Ensuring comfortable camping also means being oriented to the possible dangers during the activity and learning how to counteract during these occasions.
