A Discussion about Three Top Destinations for Honeymoon You May Consider

By Ian Smith

This article is going to look at some honeymoon destinations, in fact we suspect some top destinations for honeymoon you may never have considered.

We start in the Indian Ocean in the Seychelles where Fregate Island is a tiny granite island a short flying distance from Mahe, almost on the equator. It's got to be one of the most perfect places to spend at least part of a honeymoon, and amazingly scenically attractive. This is as close to nirvana as it gets, with the whole island taken up by the resort.

There are only 15 traditional villas with thatched roofs, and pure white sand on every one of the 7 beaches. The rates are not cheap, but then hopefully it is going to be your only honeymoon, but are inclusive of all meals and soft drinks. After you arrive there's nothing whatsoever to stress yourself about, just turn up and let go.

You will have a private butler to look after you, and every villa has its own personal infinity pool, with 2 other resort pools. You will have all the electronic gizmos you need for free, private gardens and a Jacuzzi. Fregate is eco friendly and a lot of the produce you will eat in the two restaurants is grown on, or comes from the sea around the island. This is going to be the perfect answer for your honeymoon destination.

Most visited places needn't be dear, and so for our second we travel to north west Africa to Morocco and the town of Taroudant.

The Palais Salam is best described as a hotel of two different parts. There is the ancient and the modern, with the entire hotel within the city walls. In fact the old part of the hotel is a former palace, and as a place to stay on your honeymoon this part is actually very romantic. The Palais Salam is a fascinating place to choose for your honeymoon.

Many people go to Agadir in Morocco though not so many journey on south to the walled town of Taroudant. The Palais Salam started life as a palace, and is built into the walls of the old town. It's a hotel of gardens, fountains, banana trees, and courtyards, and if you opt to stay in the slightly faded splendour of the old palace part it is really very romantic indeed. You'll be well fed, well looked after and you are inside walking distance of the souk. Maybe not as glamorous as other hotels featured here, the Palais Salam will give you a far more real feeling of the old Morocco, and the decorative style in the old part of the hotel is to wonder at.

The hotel has two pools, a traditional Turkish bath, and two restaurants the Moroccan being especially recommended. Don't check into this hotel expecting modern luxury. Nonetheless do book it if you need somewhere with a unique atmosphere, lots of history, and charming gardens to look around.

Occasionally you need to take a look at outrageous places to go for your honeymoon, so for our third we travel to the BVI in the Caribbean.

Guana Island is a private Caribbean Island Resort about 850 acres in size and is one of the largest of the British Virgin Islands. It is very definitely a private island resort, a genuine getaway. You will arrive by boat from the Airport at Beef Island.

You will find only 15 rooms in white stone cottages, so that the maximum number of guests at any one time would be thirty, which in over 800 acres isn't what anyone could say was busy but then again one has to presume that anybody on a private island honeymoon or desiring a total getaway then this is just what they would be searching for.

Rooms are spacious, with a separate sitting area and a private terrace with superb outlooks. The bathrooms have a huge shower and good amenities. Guana Island is all inclusive, in that you get three meals a day and wines at dinner and lunch, afternoon tea, coffee and nibbles, and all activities on the island. Guana Island has seven quite glorious beaches. If you need 21st Century facilities and constant entertainment then this private island escape won't be for you. There'll always be a staff member with a warm smile, offering subtle but very impressive friendly service. In fact you'll feel just like royalty the service is so good. Private island honeymoon food has got to be extraordinary, and the five star resort of Guana Island does not fail you..
