We Should Clear Airport Security with Clear Me

By Brent Neenan

Since the tragedies of September 11th, 2001 the United States airports began enhancing airport security practices to keep everyone as safe as humanely possible. In the departments such as the TSA were put together to help in implementing more thorough security procedures. To fight back the long lines of security though came; the creation of Clear Me. Though it flopped once before in 2009; it's back for a second chance and its financiers plan on sticking around this time.

Exactly what makes Clear Me so excellent is that it gives its customers the privilege of promptly and efficiently passing through the first level of security by simply displaying a personal biometric ID at the necessary checkpoints. It's not going to get someone passed all the checkpoints but it's forecasted to cut down an individual's wait time about 20 to 30 minutes.

Since Clear Me is essential its own security measure an individual cannot simply register for the service. If one would like to be included; he or she must pass several security procedures such as supplying a fingerprint and iris scan, passing LexisNexis background check and providing multiple government IDs. One he or she agrees to the yearly fee of around $200 and received the biometric ID card they will have the benefits of Clear Me.

Even though the services you get from Clear Me are accurate and clear cut some people still do not believe it's really worth it. For the overpriced and fixed annual fee it's really only saving you 20 or 30 minutes each trip. Some may think that money would be better spent elsewhere but for others the benefit to clear airport security fast.

Whether or not you really think Clear Me is worth the price; it will in time be coming to an airport near you. It's up to you to decide if you want to stand in line like a zombie and wait for hours to wait longer or you can get in the fast lane and buy yourself a Clear Me pass.
