Get A Cruise Boat From Panama To Colombia

By Harriet Porter

The holidays are here and a 5 day cruise might just be the right thing to blow your mind away. Imagine a 3 day sailing adventure through breath taking palm tree Panama islands with sandy beaches and a 2 day tour from San Blas, Colombia to the spectacular fortress city of Cartagena. A ride on a boat from Panama to Colombia is just what you need.

Scary stories used to about scary events at the Gringo trail are but old fables of the past. Your safety through this cruise of a lifetime is as guaranteed. So put all doubts aside and start planning for this all amazing trip.

This is not an opportunity to be missed. Snorkeling, swimming or even a relaxing sun bathe session on a yacht are just a tip of the ice berg of the activities you could enjoy as you explore these tropical white sand islands. The friendly Kuna Islanders guarantee a life changing experience as you indulge in their amazing and wondrous cultures.

The trip price will cover for the basics such as taxes, departure frees, water and food. Transportation costs are not included. Your captain will help you take care of all of the immigration hassles and before you know it, you will be on your way. You might also want to get your own snorkeling and fishing gear before you go. These will, however, be provided in the vessel. Make sure you have enough cash with you as well since there will be no ATMs off Panama City.

Depending on the captain, the meals are different from one boat to the next. The good news is that fresh sea food catches will make a huge part of meals. This will include crabs and delicious lobsters. In case you are a vegetarian, fear not, just let the captain know early and your needs will be catered for. You can also carry some beer and snacks just to keep things interesting.

There are quite a number of departure points in Panama and most leave from the San Blas islands by themselves. This should be costlier, but it should ensure less travel time to get to boats and a lot more sail time. Besides, sailing is what the trip is all about. So you must take a jeep from your hotel and leave from 5.30 am. This can be arranged by your hotel.

Once you get to the vessel, the captain handles your heavy luggage and stows it away. So you will have to make sure you put the items you need for the tour in a separate bag, preferably a backpack. The captain then collects his fee here and takes passports for processing. Keep in mind though that your passport will be returned to you once you get to your Hostel in Cartagena. Have no worries, this is just the usual procedure. The captain should then take you through safety advice for the vessel before you leave.

Keep in mind that these are not one of those fancy tours so expect tight spaces, less beds and very little privacy. You will spend a lot of time with your boat mates and take part in the boat chores. So keep your mind open, it is all about the experience and make sure you have everything in check.
