Family Holidays Were Designed For SA

By Kyle Olsen

And it is the perfect place for a getaway, for everybody, including the entire family, with stunning locations to see and lots to do, lovely beaches to enjoy in the summer and bewitching guest houses and self catering establishments to suit every need and taste. This article will tell you just a little bit of this charming place and about some of the cities towns to go to, as there is too much to tell all at once.

Cape Town is known as the Mother City and measures up to some of the most stunning cities in the world. And just to to strengthen the point, Cape Town has gained award after award for World's Cleanest Beach and Africa's Leading Destination, just to mention two ... of the 22 awards!

SA has actually always been known as the Gem of Africa. South Africa has an astounding shoreline that runs for over 3500kms and some of the most beautiful wine estates and boasts outstanding cultural sites and trails.

Speaking of the coast, when you check out SA, you need to make time to check out a few of the beaches. We have 3 "Blue Flag" beaches around Cape Town. They are some of the cleanest, whitest and most lovely beaches in the world. The water temp will depend on which beach you visit, so be aware of that. For instance, along the West Coastline, the waters are freezing however excellent for surfing (in some spots), if you are brave enough, and in Gordon's Bay, the water is warm and enjoyable to swim in. He or she will advise you regarding cold and warm water beaches if you are visiting and are with a tour guide. If you are taking a trip by yourself, then Google will be a great help, but then so will the locals, if you ask somebody, as they are really friendly and laid back.

It is thought to be one of the most stunning locations on earth because of the way the land changes itself every season. In spring the land goes from a dry, barren wasteland to a wonderland of color with charming wild flowers that blanket the previously boring landscape.

In a nutshell, choosing to go the tour group type of holidaying can be just as gratifying and delightful as choosing on a self drive holiday. The upside to a tour is that you don't require GPS or maps to get around since your guide will know where to go and the best ways to get there. It's different, and just as enjoyable, so think about it for the next time you visit SA.
